James is an accomplished leader with 30 years of experience leading large and complex organisations through challenges and transformation. This depth and diversity of experience enables James to bring an extensive range of skills and experiences to effectively consult to a range of businesses and to assist in the coaching and development of staff at all levels of an organisation.

James began his career as an infantry officer in the British Army, learning about team dynamics in challenging circumstances. He experienced a number of national and international postings, including a five operational tours. Late in his military career, James worked in large headquarters and as a procurement program manager in the Ministry of Defence, partnering with industry and government departments to develop and deliver capability to front-line service personnel.

For over a decade since leaving the military and moving to Sydney, James has worked in the commercial sector, leveraging this experience to lead complex organisations in multinational businesses.  He has worked in defence, communications and transport systems businesses in GM and Director roles, leading national businesses, large programs and operations organisations. James has extensive experience across a broad range of competencies including program management, logistics, repair and maintenance services and business leadership. He has worked in both the private and public sectors. In all these roles James has been interested in developing skills to enable teams and individuals to perform at their best and fully engage to help businesses thrive.

James now utilises his hands-on experience and skills to assist teams and individuals to identify and deliver the key actions that will make the most positive impact on business, team and personal performance.

Away from work, James in a volunteer firefighter with the NSW RFS, assists local artisans, artists and small businesses to connect with customers through his City+Sticks initiative, and is an active member of the local community, leading the delivery of a large annual event.
