Selecting great people: Increasing your chances of getting it right

We know that hiring the right people is fundamental to the success of any organisation. Whilst there’s no one perfect technique, research and experience tell us there are tools we can use to greatly increase our chances. From a business perspective, spending time training and developing people who are fundamentally not suited to a particular role is far more costly than “getting it right” in the first place.

In her role heading up recruitment for the Australian Defence Force, Air Commodore Sue McGready CSC leads a team of over 400 staff across Australia as they recruit each year over 8,000 staff into 300 different roles. Sue will share her experiences in running the largest and most complex recruitment process in the country, and the critical part assessment plays in choosing the right candidates for the right roles.

Megan Bell will also share the Steople approach to using assessment tools and techniques to:
•          Help organisations to make better selection decisions;
•          Improve the on-boarding of new employees; and
•          Help build targeted development plans for key individuals.

We have deliberately limited the size of this breakfast to facilitate a constructive conversation and invite you to share your thoughts and experiences.

Please register your interest in attending this breakfast and a Steople representative will be in contact to confirm your attendance.
